As the name implies, this style of embroidery requires counting the threads of the base fabric. Cross-stitch, Assissi, Largartera, Hardanger, Drawn thread, Blackwork, Pulled Thread etc., belong to this category of embroidery.

Bhavani, I have been going through your tutorials for the past week. .. post by post... each one of them is amazing.From where did u manage to get the fabric for huckwork. Pls let me know. The last time I worked on this was nearly thirty years ago.
Hi Sangeetha,it is very difficult to come by Huck embroidery fabric these days. So, I've started using cross stitch fabric.
